Buoren Rental Policy
Effective Date : 01 April 2025
PART A: USER RENTAL POLICY
1. Booking & Payment
- Reservations :
- Confirm availability via the Platform’s calendar before booking.
- Provide accurate delivery/pickup details (e.g., address, contact person).
- Payment :
- Full payment (rental fee + deposit) is required to secure bookings.
- Deposits are refundable after item return, minus deductions for damages/late returns.
2. Item Condition & Inspection
- Pre-Rental :
- Review item descriptions, photos, and Vendor policies carefully.
- Receipt :
- Inspect items immediately upon delivery/pickup. Report defects/damages to the Vendor within 2 hours via the Platform.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- User Cancellations :
- Refund eligibility depends on the Vendor’s policy (e.g., 50% refund if canceled 48+ hours before rental).
- Vendor Cancellations :
- Full refund if the Vendor cancels. Users may receive compensation (e.g., discount for future bookings).

4. Returns, Damages & Penalties
- Late Returns :
- Late fees : [X]% of the daily rate per hour/day (set by the Vendor).
- Damages :
- Users are liable for repair/replacement costs beyond normal wear and tear.
- Disputes over damages must be resolved with the Vendor; the Platform may mediate if unresolved.
5. Prohibited Uses
- Do not :
- Sub-rent items without Vendor consent.
- Use items for illegal activities (e.g., smuggling, unauthorized events).
- Modify items without permission.
6. Liability
- Users are responsible for:
- Loss/theft of items during the rental period.
- Injuries or property damage caused by misuse.
- The Platform/Erecce.com is not liable for Vendor actions or item defects.
PART B: VENDOR RENTAL POLICY
1. Listing Requirements
- Accuracy :
- Disclose item condition (e.g., “minor scratches on surface”), dimensions, and safety guidelines.
- Use original photos (no stock images).
- Prohibited Items :
- Do not list illegal, hazardous, or counterfeit goods (e.g., weapons, expired equipment).
2. Pricing & Fees
- Transparency :
- Include all charges (e.g., delivery fees, cleaning fees) upfront.
- Clearly state deposit amounts and damage penalties.
- Commission :
- Platform commission (e.g., 10%) is deducted from each transaction.
3. Order Fulfillment
- Availability :
- Honor confirmed bookings. Penalties apply for cancellations without valid reasons (e.g., natural disasters).
- Delivery/Pickup :
- Provide accurate timelines. Notify Users immediately of delays or on progressing.
4. Customer Communication
- Responsiveness :
- Respond to User inquiries within 24 hours.
- Dispute Resolution :
- Attempt to resolve issues (e.g., damages, refunds) directly before escalating to the Platform.
5. Compliance
- Legal :
- Comply with PDPA (secure User data, delete after rentals).
- Issue TIN, tax invoices for SST-registered businesses.
- Insurance :
- Maintain insurance for high-value items (recommended).
6. Penalties for Violations
- Warnings : For minor breaches (e.g., late responses).
- Suspension : For repeated cancellations or false advertising.
- Termination : For fraud, illegal activities, or severe PDPA violations.
GENERAL TERMS
- Dispute Mediation : Unresolved disputes may be escalated to the Platform’s support team. Final decisions rest with the Platform.
- Policy Updates : Changes will be notified via email or Platform notifications. Continued use implies acceptance.
- Governing Law : Malaysian law applies.
